ADA Paratransit Services is a transportation program designed to offer accessible and convenient travel options for individuals with disabilities or limitations that prevent them from using fixed-route public transportation. This program provides paratransit services via bus or train, allowing older adults to schedule rides in advance to ensure a seamless and reliable transportation experience. Riders can enjoy curb-to-curb transportation, providing a high level of assistance from pick-up to drop-off. With a flat fee structure, ADA Paratransit Services charges a Base Fare of $4.00 per trip, with an Additional Fare of $4.00 for each additional zone outside the initial service area. This program also offers shared rides, allowing for a more economical and environmentally friendly way to travel. Riders have the flexibility to pay for their trips using either cash or check, making it convenient for older adults to access the transportation they need. Additionally, ADA Paratransit Services welcomes service animals on board, ensuring the comfort and safety of riders with assistance animals. By offering accessible and accommodating transportation options, this program aims to enhance the mobility and independence of older adults who may require specialized travel services.

The bus will deviate up to 3/4 miles from the fixed route. SMART provides service to any origin or destination within the service area if the fixed route bus provides the same trip.
