Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Transportation Assistance Program offers convenient and affordable transportation options for older adults. With this program, eligible passengers can travel by car, bus, train, or van. The pricing is based on income, and passengers only pay a portion of the cost, with the county or state subsidy covering the remainder. Shared rides are available, allowing passengers to socialize and split the cost with others.
Rides must be scheduled in advance, typically a few days before the intended travel date, ensuring efficient planning and coordination. Payment can be made via check or cash, providing flexibility for passengers. Curb-to-curb transportation service is provided, ensuring that passengers are safely transported from their pickup location to their destination.
Whether you need to run errands, get to medical appointments, or simply explore the community, the Transportation Assistance Program is dedicated to meeting the diverse transportation needs of older adults.
