Please make sure to contact City of La Habra Heights: Dial-a-Ride to confirm details of their transportation services.
Provides rides for only the following purposes: necessary errands, or medical appointments. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you are 60+ years old, or you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Dial-a-Ride program offers convenient transportation services for older adults who need to schedule rides at least one day in advance. Riders can purchase pre-paid ride cards for either $10, which includes 10 one-way regular rides, or $20, for 20 one-way regular rides. These ride cards do not have an expiration date, providing flexibility for older adults to use them as needed.
One important detail to note is that drivers cannot accept cash payments; however, the program accepts credit card payments or payment in cash when purchasing ride cards. When scheduling transportation through Dial-a-Ride, older adults have the option to request door-to-door service for added convenience, though the program primarily offers curb-to-curb transportation. This service ensures that older adults have access to reliable and affordable transportation options in their community.
Service Area
The service covers anywhere within La Habra Heights City limits, La Habra, and portions of Whittier. Special service is also available to Brea Mall and St. Jude Medical Center.
