Dial a Ride/Dial a Lift is a convenient transportation service available to older adults. This program offers private rides through taxi services, ensuring a comfortable and personalized journey to various destinations. To take advantage of this service, individuals are required to pay a membership fee and flat fee for each ride. The pricing structure includes a registration fee of $10, with a $6 charge for one-way trips within the Peninsula area and $12 for trips to off-Peninsula medical facilities.
When utilizing Dial a Ride/Dial a Lift, older adults can schedule their rides in advance, requiring at least a few days notice. The program accepts pre-payment and credit card payments for added convenience. Transportation is provided via car or van, with a maximum of 24 rides permitted per month for riders. This service offers curb-to-curb transportation, ensuring older adults are safely escorted to their desired locations.
