Please make sure to contact Calhoun County Transit: Medicaid Recipient Program to confirm details of their transportation services.
Provides rides for only the following purposes: medical appointments, or grocery shopping. Also, you must meet at least one of these criteria: you have a disability. No membership is required.
The Medicaid Recipient Program is a transportation service tailored for individuals enrolled in Medicaid. By scheduling rides at least one day in advance, older adults can secure shared transportation via van to various cities on specific days. The program offers curb-to-curb service, ensuring that participants are safely transported to their destinations within the designated cities. Payments for this service can be made through Medicaid, and the program also accommodates payment by check.
It's important to note that due to funding restrictions, there are designated days for traveling to specific cities: Panama City on Mondays and Wednesdays, Tallahassee and Marianna on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Quincy on Fridays, and Blountstown and Altha Shopping on Thursdays. This structured schedule allows for efficient planning and coordination of rides for program participants. If you're an older adult looking for reliable transportation options and are enrolled in Medicaid, the Medicaid Recipient Program may be a convenient and accessible choice for meeting your travel needs.
