The Deviated Fixed Route Service is a public transit program designed to provide reliable and affordable transportation options for older adults. This program operates on a flat fee basis, with different pricing tiers depending on the trip distance: Inner City trips are $1.00 one-way, Inner County trips are $2.00 one-way, and County-to-County trips are $5.00 one-way.
Participants in this program can access transportation via bus or train, enjoying shared rides that follow predetermined routes. While the service operates on fixed schedules, older adults have the flexibility to request deviations along the route, with bus stop signs conveniently located throughout the service area. Flag stops are permitted, allowing riders to board or exit the vehicle at safe locations along the route.
Curb-to-curb transportation is provided, ensuring that older adults can easily access the services they need. Additionally, riders are welcome to be accompanied by service animals, ensuring that all individuals can utilize this program with comfort and ease.
